About Us

In collaboration with Virtual Ventures, an organization that has seen 25 years of success operating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) summer camps, Carleton University's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is happy to present She's Fly!, an aviation camp for girls in grades 3 through 9.

Our objective is to create camps that are specifically designed to encourage more young women to pursue careers in STEM and to peak their interest in unmanned systems, aviation, and aerospace engineering. Changing perceptions and fostering interest in engineering and innovation among young women is a priority for Carleton University and Virtual Ventures. We know that engaging girls at a young age and before post-secondary school is critical to achieving success in this area.
